Arp High School football 2023

The University Interscholastic League, which is the governing body for public high school  sports in the state of Texas, announced the new districts, in which its member schools will compete in for the next two school years.  That includes the Arp Tigers.

This is part of the UIL's reclassification and realignment which takes place every two years.  It's a process designed to maintain schools playing against schools of similar size enrollment.

In football, the Tigers remain in Class 3A Division 2 with its enrollment of 302 students, but will enter District 11 for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years.

District 11-3A Div. 2 which is in Region 3 is made up of:
Arp
Buffalo
New Diana
Elkhart
West Rusk
Troup
Winona

In basketball and volleyball, Arp High School will stay in District 16-3A as part of Region 2, but many of its opponents will be different than in the past.

District 16-3A:
Arp
Gladewater
Sabine
West Rusk
Tatum
Troup
White Oak

While districts for other sports like cross country, baseball, softball, track, and golf were not officially announced, they typically are the same or very similar to the basketball and volleyball districts.  They can vary depending on whether schools field teams in particular sports.
